1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Coupe. Finished in its original Iris green over beige vinyl upholstery. I purchased this vehicle from a gentleman from Barrington Rhode Island who was moving to Louisiana. Where it was garaged is only a couple of miles from my office. When an acquaintance told me she been in this house for a moving sale the car was in the garage that piqued my interest, so I went to see the car. As I was looking at the automobile, I decided to see what you take the for it, he gave me a price I said why not. The last several pictures I have posted are of the car, the way I found it. Volkswagen had been sitting for a while. I sent it to my mechanic and did a full major service, nothing left untouched. Although the car had been refinished before it was put away, I decided that I could do a much better job and fully refinished the automobile to a high level. He upholstery in my car came with it. I seller said it was all there, which wasn’t quite true, so I did what I needed to do to complete it headliner to carpets and everything in between. This Karmann Ghia is in excellent condition inside and out. It runs and drives as well as it did when it was brand new. Known as the poor man’s Porsche is a lot of fun to drive.
